Torsos+TaTas First Friday Event

In a unique mix of sculpture, fashion, spoken word, mixed media and music, “Torsos and TaTas” will feature the spectacular Raku ceramic torsos created by John McRae. John is a past Dean and current Professor at the College of Architecture & Design at the University of Tennessee.
Musical guest Cindi Alpert her Jazz Trio will set the stage on fire with their sexy and sassy style.
Gage Models wearing couture corsets created just for this event by special guest Royal Peasantry, from Asheville, NC, will circulate through the gallery. SAFTA poets Erin Elizabeth Smith, Luci Brown, and Lyric Dunagan present “Pop-Up Poetry” throughout the evening.
Denise Stewart-Sanabria will be exhibiting a charcoal on plywood piece bringing balance to this female-centric event with her take on the male form.
The event will take place on First Friday, November 7, 2014 between 6 and 10 p.m. at Paulk+Co located at 510 Williams Street, Downtown Knoxville, TN 37917.
A portion of proceeds from the evening will be donated to BreastStrokes, an organization which provides financial support to female cancer patients through their Knoxville Paints The TaTas events.
The exhibit will be on display through the month of November, by appointment or chance.
